Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my baby or toddler to a class?
Of course! Babies and toddlers are welcome at all of my daytime classes. I have pre sanitised toys, baby gyms and bouncers ready to keep them comfortable and entertained. What a wonderful way to show them the importance of exercise at such an early stage. You never know, you might even get them to join in.
At MummyTribe I keep 3-4 spaces specifically for toddlers. Please drop me a message to check availability.
Do I have to be fit to attend?
My classes are suitable for ALL fitness levels including complete beginners. My job is to make sure that you are working out at the level is right for you and your body.
Don’t ever let your perception of your current fitness level put you off coming to class. The beauty of circuit training is that you focus on one exercise for a short period of time before moving on to the next one. So even the hardest of exercises are over before know it. And if you can’t do the full time (30-45 seconds), it doens’t matter! Maybe next week you will. Come and give it a try! You might just surprise yourself.
I’ve just had a baby. When can I start exercising?
This depends on the type of delivery you had, the level of intervention and your personal circumstances. In general, for an uncomplicated vaginal delivery our postnatal classes are suitable from 6 weeks. For a caesarian section delivery, we suggest 10-12 weeks to allow for additional recovery and scar healing time. For some people these guidelines will not be enough. Listen to your body, go slow and steady and build up. Your 6-8 week check with your GP should give you an indication of whether you are ready to start.
If you’re not sure, drop me a line and we can have a chat about your recovery.
I think my baby will cry through the class. What should I do?
Babies cry! I know only too well what’s its like to have a baby who cries through a class. But I can assure you that you hear your baby cry louder than anyone else in the room. We are all mummies in the room; please don’t worry. Break off at any point you need to to give your baby a cuddle, feed, nappy change then join back in when you’re ready. If I can help in any way; give your baby a cuddle whilst you exercise, help entertain then I am more than happy to do so.
Some tips to help you have a fabulous class (age dependant);
Try and time a feed just before a class. If you’re breastfeeding this will help your comfort too.
Try and time a nap before a class as well.
Bring snacks
Bring their favourite comforter or toy
Try and come a little bit early to class to give you and your baby time to get settled and comfortable before the class starts
I’m breastfeeding, is it ok to attend?
Absolutely! Exercise is so important to help your postnatal recovery and for good mental health. Keep hydrated and ensure you’re wearing comfortable clothing with enough support for your breasts.

How do I book a class?
Drop me a message either by email or using the “contact me” page indicating the class you are interested in. I’ll come back to you ASAP to confirm availability and process your booking.
I want to book a class. Can I do pay as you go?
Yes, subject to availability. Block bookings are given priority but if there is space in a class, single sessions are available at £7.50 each / £11 Warrior Tribe. Tribe Foundations is only available as a 6 week block.
What do I need to bring with me?
For indoor classes (Mummy Tribe, Fit Tribe) all equipment is provided. For outdoor classes, please bring a mat or towel for ground work and some gloves for the colder months.
Please bring a bottle of water and wear appropriate, supporting footwear. You don’t need to wear the latest workout gear. Just something comfortable to exercise in.
If I pay for a class but can’t make it, does this roll over or can I have a refund?
Life gets in the way sometimes! If you can’t make a class for any reason, drop me a note and we can try and get you booked on to an alternative class that week to “catch up”. If there is no class available or you are unable to make the alternative time or date, you can have access to the virtual platform for a week to use in your own time at home. Unfortunately we don't offer refunds or carry over classes but will always try to be as flexible as possible.
